The Court That Never Yields Ground

The Elven Court does not build fortresses, and it does not train its warriors to survive a long war. It trains them to end a short one — every blade in the Court's armory is built to hit harder than anything built to stop it, at the cost of being able to stop very much itself.

Court philosophy holds that hesitation is the only true defeat. An Elven duelist bleeding and outnumbered is not a duelist losing — they are a duelist who has not yet finished the fight, and the closer they come to falling, the more dangerous Court doctrine says they should become.
